Constructing the site

I have began the actual construction part of the project : ) I have decided to use one of the tutorials Professor that you posted to the blog. One which uses actionscript 2.0. Having the step by step process of what to do really really helps out. I think I will have the majority done by critique, but really want to continue to add and develop this site over the summer

This is the final design I have chosen to work with, and I am excited to continue working on this so that is a good sign. I need to play around with a few more ideas ecspecially with the navigation and maybe subtle colors. I am trying to romance my supple style with a more geometric layout. I want to show diversity of style within my site.

My website designs, are all thought out in my head so now is time to catch up. The lectures where very informative,I do not feel awfully overwhelmed because we are breaking it up into sections at a time. I am excited to see my final design. I havent found just a ton of sights that I am in love with, but this sight is just a good Website to bookmark...

Yay for snow day. THANK you Prof. Webb

I have been building movie clips for my project and am finally starting to piece it all together. I actually took a turn on my storyboard and decided to change the ending/interactive part. I am doing an drag & drop game that will be much more entertaining than my original ending. As suggested my buddy "good Job" he recommended that I take each section and write it out step by step. This has made things much easier for me to plan, and I think a written explanation helps me clarify even to myself what I am trying to achieve!

So overall I am moving along at a good rate and am really enjoying this project I am close to getting everything together and now with the actionscripting :)

Trying to finish Project 2

I am trying to finish project 2, and and somewhat satisfied with my progress, but still working on the actionscript. I hope we can spend a little more time in class to clear things up a bit. Importing through photoshop helped cut down on time tremendously, so I was super excited to learn that shortcut last week. I have watched the tutorials as much as possible on actionscripting but find that when I go back and try to figure it out myself it gets tricky. I am sure it is fairly simple but again this is all so new to me!

TOMS Shoes

I have chosen to promote an existing product. TOMS shoes is a shoe company started in 2006 that has given over 200,000 pairs of shoes to children in need all over the world. For every pair you purchase TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. My project will be an upbeat and positive approach very much like TOMS using the photos of happy children. I am focusing on the shape of Africa, since TOMS biggest donation is to African children. I plan to use mostly motion tween, and movie clips. http://tomsshoes.com/ourcause.aspx
